Suisman Urban Design was asked by the Community Redevelopment Agency and the Port of Los Angeles to help reconnect downtown San Pedro to its water edge. The proposal carves a new basin in the Old Port Area. The Old Port becomes the focus of the revitalized mixed-use district, linking the traditional retail spine of 6th Street to the museums and attractions of the busy waterfront.
