Suisman Urban Design participated in an international competition to develop a new sustainable district for Copenhagen. The plan’s driving spatial concept for the development of Nordhavnen is a high density diagonal spine, enveloped in a fanning curve of six neighborhoods surrounded by a national maritime park. The spine organizes the cruise shipping terminal and promenade district, the metro line, an offshore windfarm and the main street.
