A small two-bedroom house has been expanded for a growing family to three bedrooms plus two independent studios - one for ceramics, the other for a design office. The building is organized around a series of four distinct outdoor rooms - Court, Patio, Cloister, and Orchard. There is a constant interaction of the indoor and outdoor rooms, with the building's form adjusted to maximize views of the ocean and canyon, and to bathe the interior in natural light.
